The double-deck screen splits a single feed into separate sized products at once, each run to the cut sizes your spec calls for.
Spec base aggregate
Material sorted to a target gradation so it compacts and drains, commonly CDOT Class 6 to Section 703 or a custom curve. Screening is what holds the gradation, whether the feed is crushed product or native stockpile.
Drainage rock and coarse fractions
The top deck pulls the coarse fraction for French drains, trench backfill, and erosion control, separated cleanly from the finer product in the same pass.
Screened topsoil and fill
Rock, roots, clods, and debris come out, leaving a clean, workable topsoil or structural fill. This is the difference between a pile you can place and a pile you have to pick through.
Sand and fine fractions
The bottom deck separates sand and fines for bedding, pipe zone, and blending. Tell us the cut sizes and we configure the decks to hit them.
